Marcelo Zal Riani

Born in Brasília and raised in Rio de Janeiro, Marcelo Zal Riani, better known by his pseudonym Zal, is a photographer and designer. His career as an art director in an advertising agency has enabled him to develop cutting-edge skills in editing and image processing. As for his iPhone, it enables him to capture life on the beaches of Ipanema. Noticed at exhibitions in Miami, New York and São Paulo, notably at the MIS (Musée de l'image et du son), Marcelo Zal Riani continues to explore scenes of Brazilian life with sensitivity, inviting the viewer to share a moment of this vibrant daily life.
