Train journeys have something both grand and soothing about them. Laurent Dequick, also known as LDK, envisioned himself as a great railway traveler and created his own modern-day epic. "Everything is true since I invented it," he borrows from Boris Vian.
Indeed, the LDK Express is an imaginary train, swiftly and serenely crossing the world's most breathtaking landscapes—places often barely accessible on foot. Laurent Dequick invites us to reflect on how we travel and take the time to admire the scenery. He masterfully blends real landscape photography with captures of legendary train interiors, immortalized through his own lens.

For me, the three most legendary trains would be: the Orient Express, of course, which connects Paris to Venice. Then, the Snowpiercer from the Netflix series, endlessly circling the globe. And finally, the Hogwarts Express for the magnificent Scottish landscapes it crosses.”
