RENE STAUD
Born in Stuttgart in 1951, René Staud has worked as a photographer for several decades. Since the age of 12, he has been fascinated by this practice that allows him to capture the exterior world as it appears to him. He thus excelled in the subject early on and quickly obtained a number of photography awards, which led to his decision at the tender age of 16 to create his own photo laboratory. Having worked originally as a portrait, fashion, and architecture photographer, René Staud was able to brilliantly adapt his practice to shooting vintage cars. His desire to produce original works quickly enabled him to become one of the key automotive photographers in Germany, collaborating with some of the biggest brands in the industry such as Mercedes, Porsche, or Aston Martin. While he was thus able to forge a reputation as a master of studio photography, he also distinguished himself through his images of vehicles shot amidst breathtaking scenery.
