Rémi SEZNEC

It was through cinema that Rémi Seznec came to photography. Trained at the Ecole pour les métiers du cinéma, du son et du film d’animation (ESRA), he has worked as a sound engineer for over a decade.“From as far back as I can remember, I’ve always had a passion for images,” he explains.“Making images alongside sound has offered me a universal language with which to express myself.”Followed by over 10 000 subscribers on his Instagram account, he appreciates the visibility that social networks provide and cites photographers Luke Stackpoole or JC Pieri as references. Unsurprisingly, his photos have a very cinematographic feel to them and are often captured by drone:“My photos tell a visual story, permeated by an filmic and musical influence,” he explains.“Photography is about capturing one second that will become eternal, a fragment of reality used to tell an endless story.” In late 2023, his photographs were exhibited in the Philippines, at the Modeka Gallery in Manila, as well as in South Africa at the FotoZa Gallery in Johannesburg.
