Joanna Steidle
Joanna Steidle has specialized in drone photography since 2015. She took her first photos in New York Bay, off Southampton where she lives. The ocean, whales, seals or sharks are nearby and, of course, the main focus of her photos: “Since I started aerial photography, I've been very happy to photograph the beauty of nature and showcase my Hamptons region,” she explains, “I hope to inspire other women to do the same.” In fact, she was one of the 2022 Women to Watch for Women and Drones, and is the only female content creator for the DJI brand she collaborates with. Joanna Steidle's photos and videos quickly won several awards, such as the 2024 International Photography Awards (IPA) and the 2024 Marine Life Showreel, where professionals selected her as one of the 100 drone videos in the world. Her photos of sharks have been published in the 100 photos around the world album published by Reporters Without Borders, the BBC and National Geographic.

She most recently won her 4th and 5th Siena Awards in 2024 and had two photographs published in “World from Above” the latest National Geographic aerial photography book by Jeff Kerby.
