The self-portrait was born in the 1830s, with Robert Cornelius in particular. This technique proved to be the best way to study photography and increase one’s knowledge as well as providing an opportunity to practice. Today, YellowKorner’s partner photographers all have a solid foundation, and each one, with their own distinct style, brings a different viewpoint to humankind and the world. Classic or quirky, portraits have the ability to convey a special kind of authenticity and a moving intimacy. It is this proximity and intimacy that photographer Lee Jeffries searches for in his shots. This artist focuses on close-up images of the face. He takes photographs in black and white of homeless people, revealing an unrivaled talent. The deep wrinkles, the piercing gaze, the expression... everything is intensely real. His poignant images are full of light, strength, and warmth. Through the artist’s gaze, the subjects reveal themselves and seem to share their secrets with the spectator. YellowKorner’s portrait photographers know how to add a personal touch to the images, thus transforming them into pieces of art. The work by Mexican artist Alfredo Sanchez, for example, is unlike that of anyone else. He focuses entirely on digital images. In his captivating portraits, the silhouette of each model is delicately brought forward against a black background. Finally, colors and textures bring life to the shots, which seem to almost move in a dreamlike beauty. Damien Dufresne’s photographic practice also combines art forms. In portraits of fashion, nudes, or women, his bold use of color stands out for the spectator. Applied in a flow of material roughly added to the shot, this gives a real depth to the portrait. In interior decoration, these artistic photographs bring elegance and refinement, but also originality. All of your visitors will be enthralled by these images by YellowKorner artists proposed in a numbered, limited edition.  ... See more See less
