Giovanna Aryafara's passion for photography was born in Sydney, Australia. It was love at first sight with her Pentax silver camera, and 40 years later, the flame is still burning. Fascinated by people, the artist travels the world in search of distinctive subjects, beings who arouse emotion and evoke a sense of shared spirituality. His aim? To reveal the beauty of the world through minimalist, highly aesthetic stagings. Now based in Bali, she exhibits her creations in her "Bungalow Living Bali" decorating boutique, as well as in her own gallery.

Why photography?
From when I first used my Pentax Camera, with Black and white film, I was in love with photography. And 40 years later, the love is still continuing.
Your inspiration?
I’m always fascinated by people all around the world; Africa, India, and Bali. This inspires me to always capture the beauty of Indigenous cultures.
What is unique in your photographs?
I visited the same people multiple times and I grew a relationship with the people I’m taking pictures of. This relationship can be seen in the expression and the ease of my subject.
