Julien Marchand

Born in Marseille in the late 80s, Julien Marchand studied philosophy and literature before choosing a more artistic path and officially establishing himself as a freelance photographer in 2010. Specializing in architecture, design and decoration, he made a name for himself with his Blank City project, which he published on Instagram. The project was born of an accident that prevented him from moving beyond his own block. Every day, he photographed the same streets and buildings. "What interests me is finding the beautiful in what is common and little looked at, my photography seeks to transcend a form of everyday life," he explains, "and the magic happens in post-production when I alter the colors of reality and create my dream city." To achieve this, he uses Light room and Photoshop software, and willingly shares his know-how in an online course on the Domestika platform. Blank City has enabled him to multiply his collaborations with various companies such as Adobe and Uma Oath clothing. On Instagram, her Blank City account is now followed by over 33,000 fans!
