David Dunand

Self-taught, David Dunant entered photo in the most traditional way possible: his first shots were taken with the family camera on holiday, his first camera was a gift from his father, then later, his first reflex was bought with his own savings! It was in 2019 that he became an independent photographer and specialised in landscape photography: “My goal is to transport viewers into an enchanting fairy-tale world,” he explains. “To call on their imagination, inviting them to immerse themselves in every image and explore the merest details within it, to the point of feeling a desire to be teleported to the location captured.” Trained using YouTube tutorials, David Dunant also says he was greatly influenced and inspired by the photos of Danish photographer Mads Peter Iversen. A finalist in the World Landscape Photographer Awards in 2021 and winner of the Ma Plus Belle Photo competition by Cewe Suisse in 2023, David Dunant exhibited in Switzerland from December 2023 to March 2024 at winemaker Yann Morel’s estate and his photos will be presented in the boutiques of the design brand Forme+Confort in Fribourg from April to June 2024.
