Aurélien Buttin

A professional geographer and seasoned traveller, Aurélien Buttin discovered
photography in 2010 after a visit to Europe. Equipped with his Canon camera, he
developed this budding passion before fully embracing the life of a photographer,
travelling to the four corners of the globe. In every country, he immerses himself in the
local culture and draws on a range of different encounters to create his unique images.
Portraits, landscapes, stolen moments… Each shot captures a suspended instant,
disconnected from time and from its context, in which the aesthetic, full of refinement
and generosity, transcends the subject and draws the viewer in.
